Factory five installed the fuel tank fill tube with no sealant on the grommet. Factory five was using Seal-All on the wo o- rings only. One of the forum replies said he used Dielectric Silicone sealant. I read that Seal-all sets up after installation. I am not sure if it will remain flexible in the long term . Any recommendations, other than the two mentioned, on what to use, would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think I used any sealant. you're referring to the grommet that is between the fill tube and the tank, correct? Just make sure you get an OE ford grommet. the kit-provided ones are known to leak and tear.

Ford recommends to use engine oil, on both the fill tube and the o-rings on the pump and fuel gauge

Do NOT use Seal-All; it will set up and leak. I went the Seal-All route, and had to replace the o-rings within months of getting on the road.

Do as Rich advises: use the o-rings and lube 'em with a bit of motor oil. I did that the 2nd time around, and have had no problems in the five years since.
