Windshield Bracket Alignment

Doing my final windshield install. Got everything lined up and shimmed. The PS post lines up well but the I cannot get the DS post to line up with the windshield rail (see attached).

Any tricks to address or do I walk away and ignore my OCD ?

Don’t think that’s all that unusual. Mine from back in 07 was similar even a little worse. I put it in a padded vise and tweaked it a small amount. Still not perfect but I was afraid to take it too far for fear of cracking the chrome.

I think I used an adjustable wrench wrapped in tape to bend that in. It’s a fine line between getting it just right and scratching or cracking the chrome

My MkIII back in 2005 was the same. Also tweaked it a bit in the vice, but it still had some curve to it. It bugged me for awhile, but then I learned to ignore it.
