This may sound stupid, but I can not figure it out, I have a Ron F. wiring harness and show two indicator light in the dash and have no problem with that but what is the reson that you only get one indicator light with the kit???? is there a way to wire it with only one dash indicator light????

Yes, you can easily run just one light. Run the two positive feeds that would go to your two lights, add a diode to each wire, then wire them to the one light you're using. Run the other end of the light to ground. The diode prevents electrical "backflow" up your other signal circuit. Make sure you don't put the diodes in backwards, though.

Thanks will look into it now I know were to look, or maybe before buying diodes I will just get one more light?? would have been too easy for them just to put two green lights in the kit.

Willy,
My kit came with one green, one red, and one blue!!! It's your call, but I would have one light for the left, one right and one high beam. I thought it was strange to have one of each color, but it's something different......

I bet FFR will make it right at no cost to you.

One of each color is the correct quantity for the kit. We're expected to use the one green for the blinker indicator, the blue is for high beams, and the red is for or whatever warning or combination of warnings you want lighting this up like low brake fluid, low oil pressure, high temps, parking brake on, etc.

Many who go looking for a second green one find that the quickest solution is to buy two green ones at a local auto parts store. They aren't identical to the FFR-provided green, but a pair of locally sourced ones look enough like the other FFR lights...

FFR sells the lights separately, but if you are only ordering that one item I think the shipping is more than the light. I saw some at my local Pep Boys that looked nearly identical.

I picked up a second, matching green light from Breeze.

Only weeks ago, I was in the same situation. Just went to Kragen auto parts and picked up two new greens, and a blue. The lights provided in the kit do not have a lock nut on the back. Where the new ones do. Comparison....

I saw the red, green and blue in nautical terms :P
Red: Port side (left)
Green: Starboard side (right)
and Blue for the high beams.

As an audiologist I set mine up as red right, blue left. Anyone who wears hearing aids would recongnize these color codes.

Hey LDAVE!

what did you do for the switch locations (which are where)? Blinkers bottom left, high beams above?

Also, HOW DID YOU MODIFY THE WILWOOD PEDALS?

bottom left is turn, directly above that is hazards, furthest to the right is high beam, then to the left of that is the high speed fan override.

Also, HOW DID YOU MODIFY THE WILWOOD PEDALS?

What kind of modification are you talking about? I had to move some stuff around and re-drill the front plate to make everything work. But that's long behind me now.

I've actually got about 750 miles on the car already! Haha

your pedals are drilled... or a different padput on? Mine are all black, have the antiskid material on them, and are one piece (each pedal)... would rather they look like yours.

I just got my lights at O'Reilly (Kragen) last week - thanks for the tip.

Eric,
You will need to drill and tap the old pedals to accept the new-style movable pedal pads, which are available from Wilwood for less than $9 each. Wilwood also sells the correct Torx screws, which fit flush with the pedal pad. You could also obtain new-style pedals but I would not do that given the fitment issues discussed in a few threads, including a recent one on this sub-forum. I'd just order some new-style pedal pads and drill/tap your old pedals, which should not be that hard with a drill press.

your pedals are drilled...

Ohhh, I understand what you're talking about now. Mine all came this way with the Kit.

Great - thanks! I do have a drill press, and the footbox is still open, so...shouldn't be tough!

Just as an FYI; Painless sells indicator lights in three sizes: itty bitty to the 1/2" like FFR includes in the kits. Their sales/tech staff are really good too.
