I have heard negative feed back on the gas filler tank seal and was thinking of ordering a better one. We have been told by several people that the seal is not good and to order a better one . I am building a MK4 roadster. Any suggestions? Anyone else have trouble with the gas filler tank seal that came with the kit from FF?

Get an OEM ford seal. Kit provided seal will tear and leak

Yes, Ford OEM only. Probably about $35

thanks for the call back. You dont by any chance know the part number? The Ford dealer here in Ocala didnt have that part on line. Might need to order one.

Don't install it dry... I used dielectric grease. 17 years and no leaks!
