Okay, I took delivery of the kit and the Coyote in November of 2010, so my engine is the 1st generation of 5.0 crates. I'm sure the engine had a pilot bearing when it arrived, and I'm also sure I double checked it when I installed the transmission and clutch. So, now that I'm ready to drive around a little, FFR publishes the beta install instructions for the Coyote kit and one of the items on the "Parts Needed" list is a pilot bearing. Am I hallucinating the recollection of already checking this, did Ford change their policy and stop installing them, or is this just another FFR hiccup?

They changed the cranks also so I bet you did have the pilot and with the production changes since the pilot is missing. Just GUESSING, Richard.

FFR also states you need the Upper radiator hose, but it comes in the Control pack kit.... I bet you are okay....

Well, I guess as long as this is coming from two guys I trust, I'm going for a ride right now.

Joe, I had the same concern when I first read those install instructions. Then I remembered that I ordered a pilot bearing when I ordered the motor. But, the coyote came with the pilot bearing installed and I returned the one that I ordered. We are OK.

It was there with mine as well - I can even remember the yellow lubricant that was on it. I agree with the rest, we should be good.
