I was working on the rear e-brake cable install on my 2015 IRS Brakes and the cable I purchased includes an adapter for the ford brakes. My worry is that once the cable is fully installed the cable length will not be enough to fully engage the e-brake. Am I overthinking this?
In my research I noticed that the Ford cable has a different link on the end and does not need the adapter which might provide slightly more cable length, but I honestly don't know if it would be needed.

I am confused with the question. My kindergarten mentality asks why a short cable length would result in a parking brake not engaging. My experience would be the that a short length would increase the risk of a parking brake being engaged when I wanted it released.
Maybe I (we) are missing something. This is a good crew, provide more deets and we will help you solve.

The gold color brackets are actually for the handle-end of the cable, not the caliper end.
I used a low-mile "take out" IRS assembly for my build. It was the entire rear axle assembly from a Mustang, and it included the E-brake cables.

The above pics are what came with the axle assembly from the salvage yard. They are also the pics (that don't work) in the link below.
Take a look here for what I did on my E-brake (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?27544-40-Watt-Garage-amp-9365&p=335899&viewfull=1#post335899)

I think I might have been overthinking it and the shorter cable will engage it quicker rather than my initial thought that it will not fully engage.
So I should be fine.

I didn't have the stock cables, so I ordered different cables and I am making them work.
In hindsight, I should have ordered the stock cables and done something similar to your install.
I wish I would have seen your post before I ordered the cables, but I think I can make the cables I purchased work.
