Hi all,

Still on the hunt for my color, surprise, maybe not.

I came across this photo online and have not been able to find information on the color.

I believe this is a Superformance based on some of the photo captions but I am not sure.

Does anyone have info on this car and color MFR and code?

Thanks,
Rich

I don't have a color code for you, and I generally don't like red, but that's a damn good looking car.

This looks close to me, but I'm blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

To me, it looks a lot like Ruby Red used on Backdraft Cobras.

Looks like a candy apple color. I would bet any decent auto paint outlet could come up with something very close.

Colors on the internet along with lighting can be deceiving. Almost looks like it could be burnt orange.

I agree, I really like that color but...I can't recommend strongly enough that you find a way to see colors in person before making a decision. I was looking for a silver for mine. I worked as tech in a dealer at the time. One day I walked into the shop and there were 5 silver cars next to each other. They were all the same brand but different years and different models. All 5 looked different yet all were silver. It is the same for any color you choose to look for. And then you get into not exactly color shifting, but color shading changing depending on the viewing angle and the sun angle. I chose another color that was similar to your pic but seeing it frequently on cars I knew it was a wine w/ a bit of gold metallic so it changed shade somewhat depending on the above. I chose it for my stripes. After the car was done, I had an upcharge because it was 3 stage color vs common 2 stage. Crap, there were plenty of 2 stage colors I could have chosen that would have looked near identical on an 8 in wide stripe.
