A few changes today (2/16) based on user feedback...

The home page was modified so that the 20 most recent posts are in the center column, below the headline story. The number may be increased further... Recent blog post numbers were increased and moved to a more prominent location at the top of the right hand column. Recent article posts were moved to just below recent articles on the left side.

Allowed avatar size was increased from 80x80 to 120x120.

Maximum pic size for albums was increased from 600x600 to 800x800.

Limitations were placed on the number of lines in a signature.

Signature images were turned off.

Custom titles were turned on for all users. We reserve the right to delete any title deemed offensive. This is an experiment. If it gets out of hand we may have to turn it back off. Please use your discretion.

The number of PM's allowed was increased.

There is a rule change: Links to any commercial sites in signatures are no longer allowed, unless you are a supporting vendor or a moderator. More on this will be forthcoming. Links to personal blogs and build sites are allowed.

The classifieds are open. You may respond to a post at any time. We are manually restricting starting a thread in the classifieds to those with 25 posts of more, unless you are a "known contributor" on another site. Mods have full discretion.

Looking better. Is there any way to increase the size of the smiles. Not sure if it is just my computer, since I have my monitor in 1920x1080 mode, but compared to the "other" forum, they are awfully small here.

Thanks.

Dave, I know I asked about this on the old site, and a link under build sites was OK'd there. Would there be a problem with me linking DIRECTLY to the project car section where our Roadster build stories are located? If not I understand, just wanted to ask and play nice...

Thanks...
Mark

I'm all for seeing build threads posted links from other sites, it's great to see them. Some people have copied their threads to this forum.

It is a bit of a burn that ffcars has deleted any thread with reference to this site.

Keep up the good work.

Confession: I added my website to my signature before I saw your rule posted above. But I have made a post on the vendor thread and sent an email to Dave L. at FFR with a request to be a Bronze Supporting Vendor. If you deem it necessary to remove the link before my vendor status is confirmed, please do so. Sorry if I jumped the gun.

Hi Dave,
Pics still seem to get resized to something smaller than 800 x 800 when they a link into a post.

If you look at this test post: http://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?566-Just-a-test.&p=4939 the pic is 800 x 591 and is quite readable but it gets resized for display (if you copy the pic and paste into a photo editor it is full size). The strange thing is that in the preview mode it looked fine but once posted it is messed up.

Thanks for the great work you guys are doing!!

Cheers, Rod
