We took delivery of our Roadster in August of 2013. My sons were 12 and 9 at the time. I had hopes of my boys working with me as a team and building the car out within a couple of years. My oldest found his passion in music; my youngest was into sports, scouts, and camping. Some work got done over the years, but the project was pretty much at a standstill until this past summer.
My youngest, now 19, is an engineering major at Millersville University. After many summers of car shows in Ocean City, MD and his first two years of college, the bug bit the kid, and we are now full steam ahead.
Although I could have finished the build myself over the years, I am very happy with my decision to hold off and wait until he was ready.
