Will a mk4 trunk lid fit a mk3 body?

Dimensionally yes, however you’ll have to either the lid or chassis because they are totally different as far as how the hinges mount.

Thx much. I plan to use Breeze internally mounted hinges. I expect that I will need to do some epoxy work on the inside of the lid to mount them.

Another question, I understand that the pre 99 mk4 lid has a lower license plate light mount which requires cutting a notch in the fixture while the post 99 lid doesn’t. Do you know if the pre 99 lid looks better? I was thinking that if the pre 99 looks better then rather than notching the fixture to instead delete the latch and use an internal cable operated latch.

Why not just use a Mk3 lid along with the Breeze hinges? That would be the simplest solution.
