I still need to move the switched power wire from the EZ-EFI to a source that is hot during crank.

Use the orange EFI wire for switched power to your ECU.

You would be much better off trading in the EZ ECU for an XFI Sportsman. The Sportsman has self-tuning the same as the EZ but also has so much more you can tune.

It's already hooked to the Orange wire, the problem is that this wire is powered in the "on" and "run" positions, but not in the "crank" position.

I've heard about the differences in the sportsman and EZ-EFI, and I prefer letting the ECU do the tuning at this time.

The orange wire labeled EFI or Coil is definitely hot during cranking. I originally connected my ECU to a different wire and it wouldn't start most of the time. Changed to the Orange wire and it fired right up. Double check that but I suspect you're fine as it started right up in the video. It won't start unless the ECU has 12V during cranking.

At tis stage you could do a trade-in with the EZ and save some money. I originally bought an EX but traded it in for the Sportsman. Like I said, the Sportsman has the same self-tuning as the EZ, just a lot of added capability.

As Mike says, the orange EFI OR COIL wire should be hot during crank. Test yours with a multi-meter to confirm. If it isn't, compare the back of your fuse panel with the picture on page 22 of the RF installation manual (page number is for REV W).

Make sure your orange wire is correct on ignition switch?

Found a diagram generated by another user that may help. Wish I remembered who generated this to give them credit!

I created this detail to really see how the relays are wired and how the inertia switch worked. Glad it has helped someone else. I also made this up to better explain the ignition switch hook up which might help in this case, but it looks like OP is not using the standard switch. This should help with the functions of the wire colors and how they are altered with the remote start set-up.

I highly advise you listen to Mike, and me; get rid of the EZ-EFI and install the XFI Sportsman. There is NO comparison between them, hands down winner SPORTSMAN

Very cool. I really like the keyless / push button start.
