Today was not my first start, but the longest I have run my car to date. I was beyond happy that she started right up, ran smooth, and the fan kicked on and turned off when it was supposed to. I decided to drive it up my long driveway and the brakes, clutch, and parking brake seem to be working well. The absolute best part was when I got to the end of my driveway and the very first car that drove by honked their horn. I loved building this car, but that one gesture really made me realize what I have accomplished. I could not have done it without this forum. Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way.

Great achievement, all your hard work is paying off. Looks like a beautiful area and a perfect place to take the photo.

Happy days,

Damn, that's a pretty car for being one of your first starts:eek: Mine didn't have a body:(

Thanks, I have started it a few of times while the body was at the paint shop. I had a few mechanical and electrical things to straighten out when I got the body back from the paint shop. I was stumped for a couple of months. Having a car that looked complete but had issues was frustrating. One problem I was having with the headlights frustrated me so much that I actually walked away from the car for over a month. The time away helped. The last couple of weeks I've been finishing up the few things I have left.
