Just got finished slicing and dicing. I know the last time I left a little more meat around the spindle hole and the cut. Does this look OK or are they too close to the hole? Based on the manual, I think the one is good, but I may have come 1/16" to the inside of that on the other one.

Henry is correct (of course). They're fine. These aren't the best pictures. But the first shows where I cut them on my 20th Anniversary Roadster. Did the same on the Coupe. Longer than Factory Five shows them. I didn't see any reason cut that close, although I'm confident the strength isn't compromised. Where I cut them isn't close to interfering with the final assembly. Both builds on the road for multiple seasons with no issues.

Thanks as well Paul. Safety first! There's almost 5/8" worth of material in-between the mounting hole and edge, so just wanted to be sure. Is the knuckle a point of shear force for the IRS or is it more of an alignment piece for the control arms? Your build thread continues to be a point of review the second time around. Thanks!

You're welcome. That thread just keeps giving. With the one caveat, that I point out frequently, it's now 8-1/2 years since that build was started. Hard to believe. So some of the information could be dated. But the basics still should be OK.

I'm not a mechanical engineer, so can't express the forces on the spindles in technical terms. But they're doing a lot. Starting with holding the wheels in place through the hubs. The two control arm attachments carry the bulk of the weight, with the toe arms and upper adjustments keeping the knuckles in alignment. All important to say the least.

phew, just finished cutting mine, and yeah, look the same. Don't forget you'll also need to cut more for the brakes, assuming you have the stock ones, not sure about the wilwood. Others have mounted their spindles only to realize the instructions for the brakes, which you have to download require you to cut more.

Be careful drilling out the pumpkin. It can break your wrist when the bit catches.

Thanks Henry! The last time I almost tore my wrist off. This time, took it slow, forward and reverse a few times, and with a little cutting oil. Was so easy this way. I also used a corded drill. My battery drills couldn't take the torque.
