So I'm in the process of finalizing the wiring for my heated seats and was having a bit of difficulty with how to best package the relay assembly behind the seat to keep things clean and protected.
For some context, I have the wires entering the cockpit just behind the inside harness mount (e.g., from inside the transmission tunnel) and my seat is mounted to a track so I do need some flexibility in the wires to allow for the forward/rearward sliding movement.
I did think about possibly trying to attach to the seat itself but I don't think I can mount it under the cushion as there is not enough space with my slider setup.
Any photos of how everyone else has done it?

I don't have any pics but I think you could mount it at the bottom back of the seat. Obviously this can vary person to person, but usually the seat back is tilted back enough that the bottom of it stays maybe 2-3 inches from the rear cockpit aluminum. Try yours and see.

I have my seats tilted as Craig referenced, using 1.5" square tubing underneath the front of the seat frame. After considering a number of different mounting options I simply left the the relay and associated wiring resting on the carpet underneath the frame of the seat. In a sliding seat setup I could mount the relay on the back face of my square tubing to keep it out of harm's way, but there's no need for that with my fixed seat setup. The room between the (tilted) seat and back cockpit wall is handy for water bottle, sun screen, jacket, cap or whatever else I want to stuff back there.

I spliced in wire extensions so I could mount the relays behind the dash.

I was thinking about that as one of two concepts I thought could work. One would be to attach the "relay assembly" to the aluminum paneling of the cockpit, the second being making some sort of bracket so the relay moves together with the seat. I'll have to do some thinking on the second, it would probably be the cleanest.

That's a good point, sometimes the simplest plan is the easiest. I do plan on making a "bracket" of sorts that will give me a bit more space, that may do the trick.
