Finally about a month away from my kit I’ve delayed a few times. Opted to go with the base since I will be doing a fair bit of customization. Already have my wiring, front brakes, IRS rear end. I will be ordering the complete tank, straps, vent, filler tube soon.

I believe I will also need the steering rack?

Do they supply the pillow block, steering shafts etc?

What other major items will I be needing? The website is clear on a few things but others front what I’ve read are inaccurate.

Yes, with a base kit you’ll need a rack as well as tie rod ends. All components for the steering shaft are included. I HIGHLY recommend that you get the FFR proprietary spindles.

Thanks that’s been recommended several times. I will more than likely go that route, already doing the tubular arms.

Another approach to consider. Do the complete kit and remove some the parts you don’t need. Since the IRS and power steering are upgrade options you actually save quite a bit on by not adding it. Removing other items like seats that are standard don’t save you nearly as much.
This approach is surely more expensive but it saves you having to find a lot of the small parts and fittings. I imagine these little items add up to some headache.
I did this with mine, but the only savings I took was the IRS and brakes.

I considered that. However, I’m not using any of the wiring, probably not the steering shafts or power steering. Definitely not the seats. At this point I basically need a frame, suspension, and body. Main concern was not knowing exactly what I’m missing from a POL etc. I guess I’ll find out here in a couple weeks.
