Just took a lady friend of mine for a little drive in my Roadster. Temperature was 0c/ 32F, so we dressed accordingly. But I am amazed as to how comfortable it still was. The heater works great, and the heated seats are almost too hot on the highest setting. I am very pleased about this, as the driving season is short enough in Norway. Managed to put almost 500 km on the car since road legal, now has almost 1000 km. It's tucked away for the winter now, and have only some small things to do in addition to some bodywork before next summer. Still has some more topless driving to do this year though, going to Cape Coral, FL for a few weeks next Tuesday, woohoo!

Nice! My limit is 40F if the sun is shining.. If there's no sun my face and hands (even with gloves) it's just get too cold. Also, at 50F and below I'm very concerned about cold tire traction and drive accordingly.
Yes, the end of the season comes all too soon for those of us in colder climes. It should get to around 60 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend in Chicagoland, but this weekend might be one of the last rides for this year!

As I just finished mine this summer, the recent cold temp driving has been a bit of an experiment. To my suprise, with only heated seats, I have found it very comfortable cruising around the back roads here in Maine this fall. Last night it was upper 30's and I was still good! And yes, cold tires change limits. Acorns hitting my head change limits too-- I actually got nailed by not one but two acorns on my drive last night. ouch.
Hate to see the season closing. Trying to squeeze in a cruise every weekend. Beautiful fall colors now in the mid Atlantic region.

Guys,
Consider coming down South for the winter.
Summer is when we have trouble down here.

Haha, go ahead, rub it in won't you? I used to live in CA in the late eighties, loved it there.
I highly recommend a soft top if you live in the colder regions. Extends the driving season a lot. With heat and a top I'm good down to the mid 20's.

We used to have a Polar Bear Dare in our club here in St. Louis. When my daughter was younger we went out on a short run at 12 F or obout -11c and took pictures at a local bank showing time and temp. The record has stood for many years, but it was uncomfortable. People looking at you like you're crazy. Plus extreme summer tires have horrible traction at those Temps. She's 25 now and we often laugh about that night. Good memories.
