2015 IRS 11.65" Brake Pad and clip question

Oddly on pages 9 and 13 of the installation PDF, the clips are missing.
Also, I have seen videos online with someone not installing the clips at all.

This is brought to my attention by the fact that they are incredibly hard to install, because they keep falling out.
I need four hands to do this... and even then, I can't seem to get the brake pads in place.

Thoughts?

I struggled with the clips too, but after I got the clips and pads to go in once I found re-installing them was fairly easy. It was a question of trying different approaches until I found one that worked. It's been a while since I installed my rear brakes, but if memory serves angling the pad, with the top of the pad further in than the bottom, held the clips in place and I then pushed the bottom of the pad in place.
