Sorry to clutter up the Coupe forum with a tech FAQ but…. I’ve seen 3 types of ways that images are shared here: as URL text, as thumbnails, and as actual images in line with the post text.
How does one get pictures to just show up like that? I’d appreciate the tip of anyone knows! Thanks!
I use the embedded method from the free photo gallery hosted on this site. Here are the instructions:

It seems a bit cumbersome at first, but after you do a couple of times, it's not so bad.

After 30+ years in all manner of server design/deployment, networking, html design, and so on, I could not figure out the inline method at all. My hat is off to those who have.

It's not that hard ...
1. Upload your photo to the gallery
2. Click in the photo in the gallery
3. Copy the embedded link under the photo
4. Paste the link in your post

There's an even easier way.
1. Click this button highlighted in green.

2. Click the "From Computer" tab on the popup.
3. Choose the files on your computer.
4. Click the "Upload file(s)" text below it. It doesn't look like a button, but you can click it.
Your photo will be uploaded and inserted into your post in one step.
Bonus round: If you want to change the size or alignment of the image
1. Click this button highlighted in green to go into the WYSIWYG mode.

2. Find the image you want to resize and double click it.
3. Choose from all sorts of options like sizing and alignment.
That button is gayed out for me, at least on my phone. I'll try it on my computer later this evening.

I agree that's an easier process. I also agree that uploading pics to the gallery and then linking them is a few more steps. As a former IT guy, I also agree that the steps are a little cumbersome. But honestly it's not that bad and as stated, once you get the hang of it, goes pretty quickly. Uploading pictures to a single post is fine. But as I recall there are limits. But more importantly (at least to me) is that once they're in the gallery I can link to them any time. Future posts, answering question (I get a bunch), forum members can browse the gallery directly, etc. So like everything, there are options, each with positives and negatives.

On top of which NONE of it works in the “mobile style” - but then the site itself barely works on mobile so that’s no surprise.

When I am viewing this site on my phone I always go into the options and click "view desktop site" makes everything work like a peach. Only issue is you will be doing a lot of 2 finger zooming is all.

IDK, I think I prefer being able to read the posts than having to zoom. I just do without the pictures, being able to reply, seeing profiles, and some of the other site features.
