I recently had a replacement manual steering rack sent to me by F5 to replace a defective rack (original). The failure was one side internal rod bushing had disintegrated after only 600 miles, New rack mounting bushings and hardware were not included with the replacement. The original bushings and sleeves installed in the replacement rack allow a bit of slop in the new rack after installation. That is, you can see (and hear) the rack slopping back and forth maybe 1/16" when turning the steering wheel L and R. The bushing bolts are installed properly and torqued to spec.
What year Ford (Mustang?) manual steering rack is equivalent to the one provided by F5?
