Hi All, hoping for a clutch recommendation for my Coupe. Built a SBF 347 with 445 HP, tune focused more on drivability rather than peak power and has a relatively flat Tq curve across RPM range. Using a T-56 and 3.55 rear. Never built and engine or mated it to a transmission before but getting the engine back soon. I am not going to drag race this. It will see 2-3 track days (road course) a year and maybe a few auto crosses. Otherwise I want drivability and some forgiveness ie not on/off or one that causes a lot of chuttering/wheel hop. I’m also not one that rides or slips the clutch much, been driving manual cars my entire life.

Based on this I assume go with an all organic clutch? I don’t know much (well anything) about these organic/ceramic clutches. Appreciate any recommendations.

I good single organic disc or better should be fine.

The lack of weight of the car is a big mitigating factor. As an example I'm running a clutch that is 65 HP below my engine's output or 105 HP below it's maximum.

465 HP @ 6000 RPM / 465 Torque @ 5200 RPM / Max HP 505 @ 6500 RPM (Rev Limiter Set @ 6100)

Basically the tires slip before the clutch would become an issue even though I'm below the clutch rating. My goal was to make between 383 and 400 HP and my combo did better than anticipated. Just try to match your clutch to your engines output, which is something I failed to do. Though my combination is for a Chevy, the concept is the same.

I second Gordon's suggestion. Good clutch and easy to drive.
