I almost choose a Roadster, and Really love the style of them , But I am getting older so ease of getting behind the wheel plays a bigger part than it used to.

Did it during my lunch time and after work spent an hour leveling the floor in the barn, (Soon to be a garage) for the limestone base under the concrete.

My idea is to build a 33 styled like a Nascar Race Car. 15" Steel wheels, Exh Cutouts so it can be civil or a MONSTER,.....;)

Mine will be a Budget, bare bones, good weather pleasure vehicle. No Heater or AC, No Top.

Congrats! I too am a Jeep fan, had and restored a few CJ5 & 7's. The 33 hot rod will keep you busy for a while. I am not sure you will be able to use 15" wheels because of the caliper clearance. My 17's just barely clear them. My first choice was some 15" chrome reversed steel wheels, but went to 17" American Racing VN515's.

Do you mean on the front with the standard 11 inch brakes??

I thought you were the Cleveland guy. I’ll be following for sure. If / when I build mine I’ll be using a Cleveland as well. The motor is sitting in my garage, just waiting for a 33 or 35 to put it in. At 408, yours will be scary fast!!!
Respectfully,
Jeremie

You won’t need cutouts, it’s LOUD just using the mufflers that came with the kit. Maybe CAT’s would quiet it down a notch. I don’t have them.

15s will clear the kit supplied PBR calipers.

I want my hot road to have a Split Personality, (Quiet mufflers/NO mufflers)

I wanted the split personality too, but I got it by incorporating a Cadillac CTS-V muffler that has the cutouts built in.

BTW, the cutout control was provided (built from scratch, actually) by Forum Supporting Vendor KGTM. I highly recommend Mustafa for any modern automotive electronics issues. He is both highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

I think it would be neet to incorperate cutouts that are spring loaded so that below say 2800 completly closed and wide open at 3800RPM,...OR just put a micro sitch on the throttle sowhen you go WOT = OPEN
