Sounds like a lot of work and disposable income. I guess nothing comes cheap.

A production engine has been extensively tested for durability and has a warranty reflecting same. Replace significant parts/systems like the oil pump and you are on your own for liability.

Any one of the many changes and aftermarket parts required to install that engine in a FFR would negate the warranty. Its all yours if it develops a deep knocking sound.

You could say that about any aftermarket part. I looked into the Godzilla system. Unique pushrod engine designed to give the LS3 system some badly needed competition. Indy was the only game going on the oil conversion initially, was about $5-6K and completely proprietary. Holley has been able to drop that to less than $3K, with a system that is 3rd party compatible with pulleys, etc. Lot's of aftermarket support from gear heads for this engine. Excited to see what becomes of it. Even its 1/2 as popular and versatile as the LS3, Ford has a winner.
