View Full Version : How do i get the 33' registered in Calif. as a 33"?

My donor motor is a 2007 supercharged 4.6 3 valve. Does the 33' get registered as a new car? Can it be registered as a 33"? Is it subject to smog requirements? California is such a pain when it comes to this stuff.

You can't legally. You can apply for what's known as an SB-100 number and the car will be registered as a SPCN (Special Construction) first titled in the year that you register it. With the SB-100 number, it will smog as a 1933 (or the year of the motor and it's YOUR choice.)
