Jeff's First FFR

Hello all,
Finally got my FFR floor mats. Now I am looking for some sort of rubber or vinyl mat to prevent future wear through by my heels. I did an internet search an came up with nothing suitable. Anyone have a solution. Or...what about full "rubber" floor mats sort of like WeatherTech?
Have a great day,
Jeff

I've found the FFR floor mats very durable. Multiple seasons of driving with no visible wear where my heel sits by the accelerator. I have, however, found the Factory Supply carpeting quite susceptible to wear in that area. For all of my builds, I've glued and stitched a protective piece on the side of the tunnel. For my 20th Anniversary Roadster, shown here: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?18591-EdwardBs-Mk4-8674-20th-Anniversary-Build&p=267440&viewfull=1#post267440. I bought several pads from here and has been enough for multiple builds: https://heelpadwarehouse.com/. Lots of other sources.
If you want to cover the complete floor mat, there are multiple choices for large plastic mats you can cut to fit. Look for truck sizes. I've done that before for DD's.

I got heel pads from "heel pad warehouse" have not installed them yet. They said to use 3M 90 spray glue to install them.

I used this and screwed it through the carpet and into the floor with stainless sheetmetal screws.

Thank you for great ideas (as always).

I used polished aluminum diamond plate and bolted it through the carpet. Cut the floor mat in half and secured it on the forward side of the 2” tube. Prevents the floor. At from getting under the pedal.

I used these and took them to an upholstery shop and they sewed it to the carpet. Then I just put the floor mat over it.
