Fuel gauge running backwards

My fuel gauge is going “up” instead of “down” as I burn the gas off. I’ve made no mods to any of that system and used the supplied connectors/plugs. Any recommendations on how to remedy this?

Calibrate it per the Speedhut instructions. With the complete kit's sender use 7/8 as the preset value while calibrating.

polarity backwards on signal wires??

2 wire Fuel level sender is resistive and not polarity sensitive. Faulty gauge, or most likely not programmed to suit sender. Jeff is on the money.
