What is the best product to remove heat discoloration on FF headers and pipes?

It isn't the best stuff, but it works well for me.

Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish.

Just know that it takes a little elbow grease & effort.

Stainless steel? Compound 302. Elbow grease not required.

302 is amazing. Just be careful and wear gloves

And don't let the 302 sit for more than a handful of seconds. It'll cause your beautiful shiny polished finish to go matte. Rinse it off quickly; better a couple of applications than one that's too long.

x2, 302 works great! Wear gloves and don't let it sit too long. This even removes welding bluing!

So, compound 302 will help remove heat bluing? Where does one find it, and is there a more complete name or manufacturer?
Thanks, Ralph

Sorry, I should have searched before asking this question. Found it is Harris Compound 302 from previous thread.

Awesome stuff. One container is pretty much a lifetime supply.

You can use it on 347s and 427s too. Just don't tell anyone.

But NOT on Chevys (Sorry, Mr Godadgo :))

And it's a big improvement on the other 301 compounds that came before it...
