Hey all,
Looking at the windshield / door section of the build. Are we just looking at an error in the sequence of the build manual steps? Why are we fitting the windshield before the doors if the doors are a reference point for windshield angle?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, did not see a post on it.
Just want to be sure I am not overlooking something.
Best,
Rich

It doesn’t really matter which you do first. All large parts should be installed before doing any final gapping though.

It's been several years since I helped do a w/s so I can't remember for sure what we measured to. But whether it is the back edge of the door or the edge of the body at the same area, the difference would only be maybe 1/4inch. Also the exact dimension down to a 1/4inch only matters if you later decide you want a top. Otherwise w/s rake, within reason, can be personal preference.

get the body in correct position fore/aft first, then adjust side to side so it's centered. doesn't matter if you do the door or windshield first. There's a measurement floating out there somewhere (I recall 27" but might be wrong) from the top windshield screw hole to the rear opening of the door at the body that gives you the correct angle.

I believe it is 27" from the top windshield screw to the rear of the door opening on the body.

Here are the measurement references that I use. Door doesn't necessarily need to be in place but as Chewy said the body does need to be in the proper fore-aft position.
