My car was hit and I need to fix it. All of it is cosmetic. I originally did the body work and paint myself so not worried about that. The force of the impact ripped the rivnuts out of the hood. How best do I repair that or do I buy a new hood? Regarding the gash in the front of the nose, can I fill it with HSRF and and then finish with Rage Gold or do I need to reglass the area? I’m sure I will have other questions but these are the main ones so far. Any advice would be helpful.

For the nose damage 'glass and resin (Vinylester) then shape it up with Rage. On the hood I'd cut the fiberglass away in the area below the hinge brackets to expose the metal underneath then rivet a fresh piece of aluminum onto that and then follow up with glass, resin and filler. This will provide "fresh meat" for rivets to bite into when reinstalling the hinge brackets.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for chiming in. Since i got you, I plan on repainting the car as i m not nearly talented enough to just spot fix the two areas and blend it in to the original paint. If I'm going to repaint what is the process I should use to make the rest of the car ready for a new coat of paint?

thanks again
