I see SO MANY threads about all manner problems w/ these. So here is my solution.
Use stock 2015 Mustang rear discs.
They bolt right to the spindle. Every brake pad manufacturer has pads in every conceivable compound. The park brake works. The park brake cable works just fine once you adapt the forward end to the FFR handle. I can't guarantee that they will fit every 17 inch wheel but I had 3 sets of Bullits. 2 from American Muscle and the oldest set from OE wheels (circa 2003) and the OEs didn't fit until I ground the fins off the calipers. The AMs were fine. They are large calipers and rotors so are perfect to fix the usual FFR need for more rear brake. They look similar overall to the old Fox rear discs, like a 125% blowup, but they are much better in every way. If you buy a salvage rear suspension just be sure it includes the brakes and you have excellent rear brakes for free.

I agree 100%. I'm using FFR 17" rims and I did have to grind a little of the calipers but all is good.

I went the same route as well. Like Dave, I had to grind down a small amount to fit the 17" FFR wheels. I got my brakes from a brand new Mustang take-off from a dealer - $120. My son wanted to powder coat them red, so we learned how to do that - fun experience.

I didn't order rear brakes when I ordered my kit, planning on using late-model Mustang stuff.
Is anyone familiar with PowerStop? They have a rotor/caliper/pad kit at an attractive price.

What hoses are you guys using with these calipers?

I used the stock FFR hoses. I also used the E-Stopp electric brake which works very well.

Ditto the American Muscle 17" Bullitts; they clear the 2015 Mustang calipers by a 1/16 inch!! BTW don't put wheel weights on the inside near the center.

My feeling is that Powerstop is a known decent brand. I used their rotors and pads to replace the worn out fronts on my wife's 15 Mustang GT.

I'm not sure why FFR doesnt just spec these rear calipers as standard instead of the contraption they supply. Wheel fit maybe? I couldn't agree more with Craig about these being a great solution... they're a no-brainer with OEM fit and function.

I used Dynamic Friction rotors from RockAuto and the OEM pads. I've used the DF rotors on many other vehicles and they work great. Same rotors on the front with Akebono pads. Shouldn't need anything more or fancier for street driving.
