Has anyone ever tracked their car at MSR Houston?
What did you think?
Thanks!
A couple of guys in the office have some experience with them. One has been there a few times for a drivers experience (one with Porsche the other recently with Cadillac). He liked the facility and commented about the track being fun to drive. He thought it had long enough straights for speed without getting too fast and the corners were different enough to make it a challenge. The other guy ran go karts with his son. He said it is more like a private club than a public track. He liked the facility, but thought the road course daily track fee would too high compared to the go kart rates charged. I have not checked but he said the cost to go one day a month on the road course would be about $8,500 the first year (I guess there is a start up fee or something). He thought the monthly fee for the road course was around $200 a month whether you showed up or not. He did say you could not get on the track until you had received training from their instructors, so I suppose there is more time and money before you can tear up the track in your roadster. Sounds like a good idea to me if the cost is reasonable and you want to drive on it a lot.
