I would like to mod the rear wheel fiberglas to match the tire radius etc. Any suggested reading etc, I have a MK I from 1998 so not drop but mod.
Thinking of foam and then glass so to widen the fender a bit and radius.

Search this and the other forum for my thread in around 2012 to 2015 on adding rear flares to my MkII. I no longer have the contact info for the guy who made them but suspect it is in that thread. The drop butt mod is the best thing you can do for MkI, II and II and I would do that before modding the fenders because it will slightly change the shape of the fender opening. Drop it the full 2.5inches (or whatever the exact dimension is between the two body mount bolts). Here is a pic of the car w/ the drop butt mod and the flares in their screw on version.
