Looking ahead to adjusting the tie rod ends in the future.

Do I need to trim an inch or two from the rack ends (male threaded portion) to allow for adjustment in the future? It feels like I'm close to bottoming out the tie rod.

I have 1.5" marked as a possible cut mark in white.

I will need to look it up (but someone will probably chime in quicker), but I used open ended tie rod ends that eliminated the need to chop the ends off the tie rod.

You can get a good approximation this way. Take the top bolt out of the coilover mount so it is free so you can jack the suspension up to get the LCA horizontal. If you will have power steering, shorten the rear UCA sleeve as far as it will go. If manual steering, adjust the rear per the diagram in the manual. Adjust the front UCA sleeve until you have the rotor vertical in front view. Now you can eyeball to zero toe and see how much you need to cut. From years of reading here I think your 1.5 inches is too much, but I could be wrong as there are a lot of combinations.
