Got the light wiring done with a lot of help from the postings of fellow builders.

Everything works DRL, head lights, brake lights, signals and emergency flashers.

However, when I depress the brake pedal the front signal light bar lights up on both headlights and both dash turn signal indicators.

I have tried to find where/how the brake switch wiring (through the steering column) ties/activates the front signals. One clue may be that when the key is turned on the DRL bars light and tail lights also light as they would then light switch is pulled for parking lights.

Any assistance is appreciated for clues where to look for a solution.

Thanks

In the steering column section of the manual (pg. 280 & 281 in the hot rod manual) they direct you to cut some wires that are used in the dash mounted turn signal used by the roadster to stop that from happening.

"Cut the yellow and white rear turn signal light wires off the turn signal connectors that are for the dash turn signal switch so that the turn signal lights do not back feed and light the front turn signals when the brakes are pressed."

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll find the manual and rewire per your input. Will let you know how it turns out.

You may not have a proper ground on the brake light filaments; Dgc seems to know about this. jim

Part of my search for a solution was to recheck the grounds. Poor grounds are a serious problem with 6 Volt systems. I found out the hard way during restoration a a 1937 Buick Road master.

While trying Dgc suggestion will check grounds again. Might have missed something.
