I have a Moroso 20570 oil pan on my gen 3 coyote motor.

Are the factory dip stick level marks correct for this sump?

Thanks.

The dipstick oil level measures from where it stops on the tube so it will sit at the same height no matter what oil pan you use. The full mark is the correct level you just have to adjust how much oil you put in the engine to get there.

As a side note, if you are using an aftermarket dipstick (Lokar, etc.) it's worthwhile to check it against the stock one to get the oil level (height) correct. It's easy to adjust, there is a small setscrew in the handle holding the cable. Once loosened you can then cut or adjust the cable as needed to match up to the original one's length.

It's the oil height, not volume that you need to be concerned about. The pan takes what it takes (volume wise) to get to the correct height.

The only other oil/oil pan related measurement to consider is the clearance between the oil pump pick-up and the bottom of the pan....there's a spec for that, and it's easy to check using Play-doh.

I used this pan on my Gen 2 Coyote. Try your dipstick in the engine before installing the engine in the car. I had to drill a hole in the baffle brackets in the pan to allow the dipstick to drop all the way in.

For the record, mine (with the same setup) took almost 10 qts....
