I remembered seeing talks about the damper settings on the shocks. I took all shocks off and checked them. They were all set to the firmest setting . I turned all piston rods 3 clicks counterclockwise. I even went a full 360 counterclockwise to make sure I was hitting the right clicks for setting 0-3.

Did any of you find your shocks set this way from the factory?

I thought they were supposed to be set to softest from the factory. I watched videos and followed the Koni instructions to ensure proper engagement of the clicks.

MOST of the time they come out of the box on the softest rebound setting but don't bank on it. I've often found them to be otherwise and always advise to check them before installation and adjust if necessary. With the FFR supplied springs you want them set to full soft.

Thanks, this will be a good reminder to new people. Check, don't assume.

Yes absolutely check them. A little backround. Koni works out shock settings based on a car's normal springs. They set them so full soft works w/ those normal springs. If one puts stiffer springs in their car, then perhaps they will want one of the stiffer Koni settings. Since FFR worked w/ Koni on the FFR specific shocks, full soft works w/ the standard FFR springs.

Thanks Bill for the link to Koni for shock adjustment. Being a new builder I would not have thought to check shocks for rebound stettings

These are just like spark plugs---you don't install them without checking and setting the gap. ;)
