Hello, new to the forum did my introduction a few days ago.
My completion date is 10/21/23 so I have not had my final configuration call with FF Tech.
First question of many I am sure,

I am going to order Gas-N side pipes. Is there an advantage to ordering their headers as well or will FF headers suffice?

I have seen a lot of discussion about break lines and people substituting the supplied lines with other materials. Is there an issue with the FF supplied break lines

Thanks
Ross

I have the FFR polished stainless headers and sidepipes for a 351W and I was impressed with them. I could throw the headers from across the garage and they would line up on the heads. They have ball sockets now so aftermarket no longer has an advantage. As for the sound, it was fine to me.

I don't think there's an issue with the FFR supplied brake lines but a lot of people myself included upgrade to stainless steel with AN fittings.

The brake lines supplied with the kit are the same steel with green paint that you buy at your local auto parts store. They provide several different lengths plus unions. So it's possible to plumb the car without having to make flares. Many want to avoid flaring brake lines so this is what they do. It's not the most elegant (my opinion...) but does work. Other than that, no issue with them. Steel lines are quite easy to flare yourself with the right tools. I've done a few builds with stainless in longer lengths avoiding unions. It's not particularly hard but (again) takes the right tools and lots of practice. I wouldn't recommend it for a first-time builder. I personally haven't used it, but many prefer Cunifer copper-nickel brake line. It's apparently easy to bend and flare. I'd recommend waiting until you have your kit before deciding anything. Unless you have a strong opinion for something other than what's in the kit. Alternates are not hard to get if you decide to go that way.
