View Full Version : Stiffening the Breeze cubby divider
I'm going to mount my fuse panel and likely a few relays on the rear of the Breeze cubby divider. I'd like to make it a bit more sturdy. Any thoughts about how to best do this? I'm thinking of just sandwiching another piece of aluminum to it with adhesive.
Yes I know this gets installed over the trunk aluminum; I was just curious about space and fit.

You could get a piece of 3/4" aluminum angle and fasten it high as possible the full width of the cubby. It won't go anywhere.

Once installed I felt it was fairly sturdy. But you can also add a brace from the center top back of the divider to the trunk hoop directly behind.

If you add a stiffener bond it to the cubby divider with 3M DP810 acrylic adhesive. This stuff is stronger than welding. You can get it from McMaster Carr or just borrow some from me:)

I would consider hinging the divider to lie down. I wish I had.
