Hey gang..
Looking for some advice on a fuel pump power issue I’ve been troubleshooting for over 2 weeks now. If you already chimed in on the Facebook group, my apologies, and ignore this.
The issue is that the Ford control wiring is not activating the fuel pump in the Start or Start/Run positions. I’ve talked to Factory Five and well as Ford Performance on multiple occasions with no success.

Here’s the (long) rundown on what I have done thus far troubleshooting.
1. Searched the web and these forums for answers. Found a lot of stuff. Tried a lot of stuff.. no luck
2. Sent my PCM back to Ford and had it re-flashed. Still no luck
3. Checked all the wiring and connections at least 10 times now
4. Checked all the grounds and confirmed good
5. Checked the Inertia setup and confirmed good
6. Checked and replaced all the related fuses and relays
7. Made sure the battery has a full charge
8. Can jumper the relay and the fuel pump comes on
9. Checked the wiring harness for continuity from end to end

After all that, I was going to say the hell with it and just let the Ron Fracis harness control the fuel pump but for some reason as soon as I hook the battery up the damn fuel pump kicks on without even touching the key to try and start it.
So yeah.. I’m getting a bit frustrated and aggravated.
This is not my first car build but it is my first Coyote... Might be my last lol

this section makes me think that maybe you have your ignition switch mis-wired? or a key-on/RUN vs HAAT wire is in the wrong place

trust me, I'm having issues with my Coyote (Gen3) but way different issue...

I see where you are coming from on that. I've checked and rechecked the wiring per the instructions at least a dozen times.
That's not to say that the instructions are wrong or the RF harness is mislabeled or wired incorrectly.
I put in a call to FFR Tech support to see what i can get out of them.
I'm also wondering if the ignition switch might be faulty.
I'm running out of ideas and just throwing out guesses at this point.

If I am not mistaken, the green wire on the C160A pigtail is the key to the fuel pump as far as the coyote PCM is concerned. Have you tried jumping a wire directly from that green wire to the fuel pump? As soon as the PCM has power, the pump should start. If you force that connection, and the pump doesn't start, you can narrow it down to issues at the switch, which would most likely be with the interfaces on the RF orange to coyote light green and RF blue to coyote light blue. (Or the switch is bad)

I suggest this because, in my opinion, the orange and blue RF wires are the key to the whole thing. I had an intermittent problem with the connections on those two wires with the corresponding wires on the pigtail. Only after I replaced the connector on those specific wires did everything work correctly.

Well I made some progress.
I studied the RF fusebox and noticed 2 things wrong. The wire to the hot side of the fuel pump fuse was red and coming from the "Bat" connection on the ignition switch. This explains the fuel pump running as soon as I hook up the battery.
I also found that the fuel pump relay was pinned wrong. The "87" pin was one slot over in the ""87A" slot. Once I corrected those 2 things the fuel pump works as it should.
Now on to my next problem.. lol
The engine cranks but will not fire.....
Thoughts?

awesome news!!! glad you found it... as for the no-fire, have you checked fuel pressure? for first start, it takes a little longer to pressurize the empty lines

I would take Mike up on his offer. I know I did and he was a tremendous help.

If you have no fuel pressure, the pump could be wired backwards. It'll run in either direction, but only pressurize in one.

I have fuel pressure. I set it at 55psi.

If you have fuel pressure and it cranks, it should start. Is the MIL illuminated? I would guess that you'd get some sort of code if there was no spark. If you have fuel and spark, it will fire. You have to be missing one of those... I'm assuming you have the stock controls pack installed.

I'm pretty sure I have fuel becuase I can smell it pretty strong. I checked and have no leaks. No MIL. Hooked up my code reader and had no codes.
I'm leaning towards no spark. I'll do some digging and keep plugging at it. At least I'm making some progress I guess.

How long have you cranked your coyote? Mine took like a whole minute of cranking for it to start the first time. Fired right up everytime after that.

I had a used gen 2 coyote that sat for a long time. It wouldn't start because the injectors were stuck closed. I was told to jump them with 12 volts until they click. Worked like a charm. The ECU triggers them so fast that they wouldn't come unstuck on their own.

Success!
Finally got the Coyote to fire up.
Multiple issues and 3 weeks of troubleshooting.
Fusebox was wired wrong from the factory which was causing the fuel pump to run constantly. Fixed that and then it would crank but not fire. Turned out to be a faulty connector on the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Replaced it and Vrrroooomm.
Straight headers so when it fired it scared the crap out of me..lol
I'll try and post a video in the next day or so.
Thanks again for all the inputs and direction
