Has anyone opted to replace the plastic split loom on the RF wiring harness with a braided product? In my experience the heat we experience here in AZ absolutely destroys OEM plastic corrugated loom after about 10 years or so. It becomes completely brittle and just disintegrates if you have to even touch it. I have a hard time believing the stuff on the RF harness will be any different. I was thinking about replacing it with something like this:

I think it looks nicer to boot. It's still self closing split loom, so it would just be a matter of sliding off the corrugated and this on, and cutting to length.

I'm planning to use the woven split loom from Wirecare, but they make so many variations...I can't keep up! I used one of these choices on my trailer project:
1) to get experience using this product
2) to "persuade" the critters out here to stay away from my wires!!!
I like the product :)

I really do like the braided stuff, and in cases where I had to add any new wire to my build I tried to use it exclusively because it does look better IMO. I also had some stainless braid (non-split) laying around from a previous project and tended to use that in the engine compartment for new wires that go near anything hot.
That being said, personally I wouldn't find the time to replace the whole harness to be worth it— especially if the car was going to be spending 99.9% of its time in a closed garage.
Also, I wouldn't necessarily assume the plastic braided loom wouldn't become brittle in 10 years either. Flame retardant doesn't necessarily mean heat/UV stable. The stuff that seems to hold up best seems more like a fiber/fabric instead of plastic (maybe nomex?).
Anyway, if you are purely going for looks, and have the time, I'd say why not. But on the list of things to worry about in 10 years, I'd say it's probably low. Or a middle of the road scenario, maybe you just replace sections in the engine compartment where things are more visible and subjected to more heat.
