Quick question. Is there any reason why I can’t use the same grounding bolt (3/8” bold threaded into the 4” frame tube) on my frame for both the negative battery ground and my engine ground strap. Both are 4 gauge cables. I have a coyote and the breeze front battery box mount. Since they’re close I realized my engine ground cable will reach to the grounding point for my negative battery terminal. Powder coating is cleaned off the contact point and I have dielectric grease to put on when tightening.
Thanks,
-Bryan

You can (and I did) but I also think it's a good idea to have some redundancy in the ground path. I ran one ground from the engine mount forward to the same bolt that the negative battery terminal grounds to (visible in the top part of the photo), and then I also installed a separate ground from one of the starter mounting bolts to the engine support on the frame (visible in the lower part of the photo). More grounds = better.

No issue. Just make sure the connection are shiny and solid.
Absolutely. Manufacturers do it all the time.

Thanks John. I was looking at that same hole in the frame engine mount as a ground. I hadn’t thought about grounding the starter yet so your suggestions make sense. Thanks!

Yes. It is ok. If you run multiple, suggest they are sized the same, that will minimize the possibility of a smaller wire inadvertently taking all the ground, should the primary have an issue. So if you use 4ga from the battery, make any secondary ground the same. Keep ‘‘em big and the same.
