Do most people drill and tap the 2 inch tube at base of firewall or rivet or drill all the way thru to other side

I made a custom bracket to space the regulator away from the firewall by an inch or so to allow the coyote harness to pass behind it, and riveted the bracket to the 2" tube with 3/16" SS rivets.

Be careful how low you mount the FPR on the firewall. I failed to leave enough clearance between the bell housing lip and the bottom fitting so that it was impossible to get the AN connector on, and so had to move my FPR up. If you are including a heater, figure out where that housing ends. After I moved the FPR up, I failed to leave enough clearance between the heater housing and the side fitting so that it was impossible to get the AN connector on, and so had to move my FPR more towards center. That was a frustrating experience.
