Anyone got any cool coil cover options for a Gen 2 Coyote?

I went with the Ford Racing chrome coil covers (P/N M-6067-50C) but they've been discontinued so they're pretty tough to find nowadays.

I used those too on my 20th Anniversary Roadster. Very nice pieces. Chrome plated aluminum. Ford discontinued them so not available at typical retail sites. There are a pair on eBay right now.

Here's a car I did a few years ago with some homemade dress up to the covers.

"Powered by Ford" was milled off of the coil covers leaving a channel. 1/8" aluminum was cut & shaped to fit that channel plus the other indentations in the coil and engine covers then polished. I painted the covers to match the body. The laser cut "5.0" and "32V TiVCT" came from one of the Mustang vendors (but my old memory is failing me on exactly which one at the moment :().

does anybody know if we can paint the stock black one?

Random second question. I am considering not putting the hood scoop in and leaving it flush. I assume it'll fit with this coil cover, I guess my only other concern and question is whether there is a cooling/air flow need for the scoop as well. I don't think so, but figured I'd ask.

Edit: I see Jeff said he did paint those himself. Looks really good I really like that idea. Thanks.

Yes, after proper preparation the covers can be painted. Yes, everything clears without the scoop and no, it is not needed for cooling or airflow (I had one Coyote owner who asked me to install the scoop but not cut the hole in the hood---reason being is because all that would do is let in water when he drove in the rain. I can't argue with that logic ;))

If you want to take the time and pay the price a great look is to have them hydro filmed with a carbon fiber look film. Then go back and shoot a candy or translucent paint over the carbon fiber base and finally clear coat. The look is amazing, but likely not cheap if you pay someone to do it. A friend and I are thinking about building our own hydro film tank to control cost. Lots of YouTube videos on the process and applications.
