Folks,
I am getting the Summit Racing TKX kit to bolt to a 351W (Bored and stroked to a 427) for my roadster. I think this kit will work just fine for the roadster but I wonder if they actually mean a true 427 big block. I am going to ask Summit tomorrow but thought I would throw it out here for you all to comment on.
Summit Racing™ Factory Five Mk4 Roadster 427 Windsor Transmission Combos SUM-CSUMFFC07 (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-csumffc07)
Invariably I order the wrong thing. Will this work with a 351W based engine?
Thanks,
Dan

It will work fine but there are better deals out there.

It says Windsor in the description.

As Jeff noted it's for a Windsor, but the flywheel is neutral balanced. Which won't work if your motor isn't also internally-balanced.

I'm going to guess that since you emphasized Windsor that a windsor is a windsor. (Just read up on it. I was surprised to note that a 351w is mostly about where it was built and not so much about how it was built. Sounds like a windsor and a cleveland are by definition small blocks and therefore share the same bolt pattern for the bell housing).
Thanks guys. Totally new to the engine side of things and learning a bit everyday.

If you ever want to make your head explode just try to figure out all of the different Ford V8 engines they've made over the years.
Here's an interesting story on the Cleveland. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/351-cleveland-engine-history/?sm_id=organic%3Asm_id%3Afb%3AHRN%3Atrueanthem&fbclid=IwAR1fLXtTpkLS9tHyOV0ksnLk3BTB9SZODMZNCZv0E RlFOhNd8XKXvt9I5LU

Wow Mike, thanks. Turns out that there are huge differences between the windsor and the cleveland and even various versions of both. Looks like the bell housing bolt pattern is constant tho. Now I am itching to assemble my own at some point. Maybe my next car....

I'd call Mike @ Forte's Parts Connection. He's really good with this kind of stuff and is really competitive on pricing.
