Hello All,
I've picked up a mostly completed build that needs the finishing touches. In the past I could have sworn to have seen one of the cobra niche vendors selling a panel that fit inside the nose of the cobra and basically forced the incoming air through the radiator. I've been searching around for that same piece now and can't find it anywhere. Does this piece have a name? Anyone recall who was/is selling these?
Hoping I haven't lost my mind and this doesn't exist.

Mike Everson from Mike's Replica Parts sells them.

Not sure if you have something like this or not but it keeps all that air that come in from just going out over top of vs through the radiator.

Not sure which you are referring to
1) Mike's surround the radiator to keep the most air going through the radiator
2) the flat panel that was used at the top of the radiator to also keep the air going through the radiator
If you purchase Mike's panel you would not need the panel on the top of the radiator
3) the third part is a what I call wind wing that forces the front of the car down at high speeds. Dark Water Customs - a vendor here - makes them - Called an Air Splitter/Air Dam
Personally I like Mike's fix. I installed/used the Air Dam when I was out on the track - thus far I have not done a fit of the air dam!

With Mike's panel you still need the Breeze panel to keep air from escaping over the top of the radiator. Compleats making a sealed tunnel to the radiator

That's exactly what I was looking for. I have the breeze piece, just needed the Everson piece as you all have described it. Thanks all!

I just installed the this piece after almost 2 seasons of driving without one. I did it primarily for cosmetic reasons. It makes the nose look cleaner in IMO. Interestingly enough though the cockpit gets a lot hotter than it did before. So while my engine probably runs cooler I lost some of the air flow that pulled engine heat away. There is definitely a noticeable difference. I'm going to leave it as it looks nice and I am heading into the fall but if it gets to be too much over the summer I may remove it.
I am also considering adding fresh air vents (something I would add if I was to go back and build it again).

I've read others say that the top Breeze piece leads to hotter engine bay temps than the Everson nose aluminum. I just have the nose aluminum and don't really know any different. Be ready to spend a lot on the shipping. I think the shipping almost doubled the cost of the piece itself.

The reason the shipping is so high is because it is very light weight but takes a large box to ship it. When I worked for FEDEX it was called dimentional or DIM weight. large light weight shipments were more to ship because they take up room that average weight pieces could occupy.

Shipping is expensive, but the piece finishes off the front end better than anything out there. I powder coated my last one black and will do the same with this build. Its these types of pieces that makes a good build great. Great job to Mike Everson on this one. Really nice fitment.
