Quick question about the hood rubber bumpers with screw hole

The MK4 comes with with 2 sets of rubber bumpers for the hood and trunk area. FFR sent me the small rubber bumpers in my kit but the larger ones have never been sent despite being on my email list of POL items for some time now. I prefer to just order some. Will someone please let me know the diameter and height of the larger rubber hood bumpers please? Thank you.

I see that no one replied to your question John.

The large bumpers are 3/8" in diameter and 5/8" tall.

I would suggest waiting on ordering them. I suspect you will not need them. You don't need any for the trunk lid. I installed mine about a week ago. I am almost done with the hood. It may need 2 of the smaller bumpers at the cowl area. I need to finish the install to be certain though.

Jim is correct. The trunck lid between the latch and the surrounding weatherstrip you will most likely not need the bumpers. The hood will use at least the 2 FFR sent and depending upon how the hood fits (curvature, etc) you may need more. You can buy various height bumpers from McMaster-Carr and they actually carry some at Home Depot.

I'll pig pile on & say I didn't use any of the large size bumpers. And if you decide to use Mike Everson's bulb seal (http://www.replicaparts.com/weather%20stripping%20page.htm) instead, you might not use any of the small bumpers either.

No bumpers of any size on the trunk, every car gets one large bumper dead center at the rear of the hood and every once in a while one small bumper dead center at the front of the hood. FFR sends what, about 20 of each with every kiy hence I have hundreds of them left over.
