Can anyone with knowledge on Tremec T56 transmissions tell me if they have a built in neutral safety switch? I believe the TKO/TKX line has them, but not the T56. I was planning to install both the clutch safety switch and neutral safety switch in parallel so I can start the car either way (clutch depressed fully OR if car is in neutral). I know....not absolutely necessary but I was hoping to have the option to start the car without having to be in the seat. I did a little research and as far as I can tell the T56 doesn't have the NSS. Just looking for confirmation. Thanks in advance!

Installed the T56 in my Coupe. Nope, no neutral safety switch like other Tremec models. I have the Coyote clutch switch in mine and will only start with the clutch down. That's OK for me and haven't regretted it now in its fourth driving season. But I know some want the option to start the car without being in it as you mention. If you search other forums, you can see where guys have hacked a switch into the shift rails. But that seems like a lot of work to me. Maybe just an override switch under the dash or whatever? Obviously only to be used if the car is in neutral.

Ok thanks for confirming. I think I'll just stick with the clutch switch and keep it simple.
