I have the vintage speedhut gauges, Ron Francis harness and coyote gen3. I have been driving for about a year with no issues. Just recently my gauges stopped illuminating and the red needle light stopped working as well. My headlights, blinkers, brake lights etc... still work with no issue. . I have read a lot of posts that it could be the inverter from speedhut. One thing that has me confused. Does the inverter control the backlight as well as the red needle? Also, I have the headlight switch turned on and not just pulled out.
thanks

Inverter only is for the backlighting. The needles are LED and get direct +12V DC from the lighting circuit. Since both are not working, that suggests the inverter is OK. I'd be looking at the overall gauge lighting circuit, starting from the headlight switch. Stupid question (since you didn't mention it) you have the headlight knob turned all the way up, right? Just short of the detent where it turns on the courtesy lights.
Note the above answer is only for the prior version of the Speedhut gauges that still use the inverter. Newer ones are all LED and don't have the inverter.

I do have the head light switch turned all the way up. One of the first things i tried after reading other posts. I will go over the gauge light circuit as you suggested. Appreciate the help.
