The wiper drive coil cable that runs from the wiper motor through the wiper boxes is excessively long to the point where it runs across both wiper bodies and wraps around the DS footbox. I haven't sealed that area up yet, which is my concern. Once that area is closed up, there might not be anywhere for the excess (12"?) to go. is it common to cut the drive cable?

Yes! It’s ok to cut. You should run a tube out of the second wheel box that is pinched on the end to hide/protect the end of the coil. I’ll se if I can find a pic…

As David says, it's fine to trip the coil cable. But be sure you leave it long enough so that it doesn't pull through the wiper wheel box! And be sure to use a pinched off tube to guide/protect the end. I left ~3" of tubing, plus ~1" for the pinch.

Thanks all! I’m good, don’t need a picture Dave. Just the confirmation…

Question: Is the one tube supplied in the kit long enough to span between the motor unit and both control arms, then have enough left-over to cover the "pig-tail" end"? I ask because I was surprised I only received 1 tube in my kit. FFR said this was normal ...
Thanks,

That cable is thick. I used bicycle cable cutters and was quite surprised how it not only did the job but how clean the cut was.
