As title states, looking for an unfinished roadster project or perhaps and older build I can upgrade/change to my taste.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out as I had hoped in 2019. Glad I waited though.
I've been trying to contact the seller of that car on marketplace, for some reason he is not returning my messages. Maybe he has a pending sale and he's waiting to see how it pans out?

The listing date on that ad is back in 2021. Probably long gone at this point.

i think that date is just from his screenshot on his phone.
the ad itself shows it listed just 2 weeks ago.

He did respond to my first message telling me it was a MK2 and that he has a Jersey title. That was over a week ago, I've messaged him 3 times since asking to see the car,

Have you checked "Bring A Trailer"? I've seen a fair number of FFR cars go through that site.

Yes, I just started watching some cars there.
Something might come along there that fits the bill
