I got the Vintage GPS gauges, like most everyone else. Did everyone else get a Celsius temp gauge? It's kinda weird seeing my fan come on at 80.

Yep. Speedhut can change it to Fahrenheit for you if you prefer. I don't know what they charge now, but at one point a couple of years ago, it was around $50.

Yes, both my water temp and oil temp are in degrees C. The easiest way I figure is to remember that 100* C = 212* F. My fan comes on automatically at 92* C. At least the speedo isn't in KPH.

I can trade you for a Fahrenheit one.

Just a little background... The original Cobras aka AC Ace with its British heritage had a mixture of gauges. Speedo in MPH but temp gauges in Celsius. That, along with the reverse direction speedo, is what the Vintage gauges are replicating. I have to agree. My brain doesn't think in Celsius either. So I've had Speedhut change them a couple times. Pretty seamless.

I had a hunch it was a "heritage" thing. Thanks for confirming, and letting me know there's a swap available. It doesn't really bother me that much, but if it ever does it's good to know there's options.

Double the Celsius reading and add 32 to get Fahrenheit(pretty close).

Uh, not really. There’s a big difference between 212F and 232F. When I was doing engineering test work at General Motors all of our work was in degrees C, kilopascals and Newton meters. To convert degrees C multiply X 9 divide by 5 then add 32.

I prefer my gauges to read in FREEDOM units, thank you very much. ;)

Just kidding around, not really. Metric makes so much more sense.
